SPOKANE, Wash. — Your kids can get a fun-sized firefighting experience this Sunday with the Junior Fire Academy.
The Spokane Fire Department, SAFE Kids, the Downtown Spokane Partnership and River Park Square are partnering to host this free, family event.
It will be held at River Park Square and on Wall Street in downtown Spokane on Sunday, September 11 from noon until 2 p.m.
Junior Fire Academy is an opportunity for kids and families to experience what it is like to be a firefighter and learn fire safety.
The Junior Fire Academy is open to kids of all ages (ages 2-10 suggested).
One of those activities is the Jr. Combat Challenge!
It’s an obstacle course of sorts that simulate firefighting actions.
